This comedy duo starred in numerous movies together, grossing hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office. While notably not the best of friends off-camera, they had a natural ease to their comedic banter and timing that was undeniable.

Before ever working together, these two were friends – drawn together by a similar passion. As time passed and the two began working together, they managed to write many of Motown’s greatest hits. This easy working relationship has continued as a friendship that has lasted decades.

Bonded by an idea as college graduate students, this duo partnered to launch what would ultimately become Google. While they have largely stayed out of the spotlight, it’s clear that their passion for their idea led them to success they never could have imagined when sitting in their graduate classes.

While unquestionably successful on the singles tennis court, this dynamic sister duo has also seen tremendous success in doubles, putting them at Number 1 in the world. Their unwavering love of the same sport has led them to be two of the most recognized names in tennis with an Oscar-winning movie to boot.

This couple is known for having a fierce love as captured in endless letters. A Washington Post article written by Paul Alexander said it best:

…their letters portray something else: a singular, enigmatic connection. “[They] stayed in love until the day they died,” Eleanor Lanahan, their granddaughter, writes in a moving introduction to their exceptional letters. “Perhaps it became an impossible and impractical love . . . but it was a bond that united them forever.”

There have been many accounts of this lasting marriage. The unwavering support over the years allowed this fierce female to find her way onto the US Supreme Court. Their marriage lasted for over five decades.

As beach volleyball Olympians, these two found their way to gold medals at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Olympics together. Their dedication to their craft created a true synergy on the court. They have described their relationship as “sacred”.

Not only did this duo write the majority of the Beatles lyrics, but they also wrote the actual music behind the songs too. Before they even became famous, they mutually agreed that they would receive equal credit during their partnership.

A collaboration and friendship that lasted more than 50 years, one managed the business and the other did most of the writing. From 1868 to 1870, they edited and published the Revolution, and in 1869, formed the National Woman Suffrage Association.
